Position Title MRI Field Service Engineer

Location Massachusetts (various locations around the state)
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
To contribute to the overall operation of the organizations imaging systems
including: installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and modification.
SPECIFIC PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as technical point person for maintenance and repair of
imagining equipment
2. Implement new systems by coordinating activities, analyzing and
documenting user problems, and providing training activities.
3. Aware and skilled in the safety requirement of High Field MRI
systems.
4. Maintain records and documentation for all machines, and generate
status reports as required.
5. Utilizes software and hardware network management tools for problem
isolation and resolution.
6. Work various shift schedules to have little or no impact on user
site traffic including; weekends, swing shift, and graveyard shift.
7. Perform emergency and routine service on MRI systems on short
notice, including PM’s, repairs and installations.
8. Establish effective levels of communication with the user community
including; problem resolution, network cabling errors, and network troubleshooting.
9. Assist with the coordination and escalation of trouble tickets as
necessary for the repair of all equipment.
10. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
11. Perform work according to company and industry standards.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associates Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
Technology or related field
2. Extensive OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
2. Minimal 3 years experience in MRI maintenance
3. Extensive knowledge of reading and analyzing schematic diagrams,
including digital analog circuitry, high voltage, troubleshooting software.
4. Proficient in windows PC operating and repair systems
5. Must have valid driver’s license
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, including the human body, weighing 21-50 pounds occasionally, and/or 11-20 pounds frequently, and /or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work. This requirement must be made with or without accommodation.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:
This position requires extensive interaction with patients, physicians, employees, and others. Employee must interact with all parties in a courteous and professional manner. Employees in this position will frequently work evenings and weekends to meet network installation deadlines and to provide network service as needed.
GE and/or Siemens experienced MRI Field Service Engineers.
Bottom Line
